I used sewing weights to hold the pattern pieces onto the fabric instead of pins. Will definitely use this method from now on because it could mean less lost pins on the floor. I've had in my mind to make a wrist pincushion for some time to counter the very same issue.
Those yummy redbean ice cream sandwiches help to beat the heat. We will end the year on a scorcher today with forty degrees predicted as the maximum. Best Wishes for your New Year!

This forty degrees bizzo is ghastly! Am now pining for red bean ice cream sandwiches (oh my giddy aunt!) and summery, breezy pinafores (I'll do extra for the seam allowance on mine - especially give the ice cream thing).
May your new year bring with it much happiness and good – with a nice cooling breeze attached.
Sewing weights! What a great idea, better get myself some too! Love the girls dresses, very lovely!
Oh but they're sooo gorgeous and perfect! I LOVE your fabric choices. inspiring!

Cute dresses! I've never seen these weights. Appeals to the "lazy" in me. . .
gorgeous dresses. Love those icecreams. I found some at the Moonta lane asian grocer on the grote st side. Have also checked out the grocer at Marden too which isn't too far from us :)
